Dominique,

the 570E came with Win 98 -> useless. I backed up the ~100 kB of useful
IBM files and installed Win2000 right away (clean install). Works very
nicely with 320 MB. Support for the UltraBase docking/undocking comes
native with Win2000.

You need the following files from IBM:
570E BIOS Update (System Program Service Utility) 2000-12-07
or 570E BIOS Update (System Program Service Diskette) 2000-11-30
On Screen Display Utility 2000-11-10
Configuration Utility 2000-11-01
Lucent Modem drivers 2000-09-30
Mediamatics DVDExpress video player update 2000-09-30
Power Management driver 2000-09-25
TrackPoint driver 2000-09-23
Video Driver (NM2200) 2000-02-28
CD-ROM Firmware Update Utility diskette 2000-02-02

Problem: IBM only have a DVDExpress _update_ on their web site. So I need
some old version that will install under Win2000 first.
