I have a Thinkpad 600E (2645-55U). I'm thinking of bumping up my hard
drive to 20gb and installing Win2k on a fresh disk.

There seems to be 3 different hard drives that fit...

Hitachi 20GB/4200rpm ATA-5 IDE 2.5"x9.5mm Notebook Hard Drive DK20BA
IBM 20GB/4200rpm Ultra-DMA 66 2.5"x9.5mm Notebook Hard Drive DJSA-220000
Toshiba 20GB/4200rpm ATA-4 IDE 2.5"x9.5mm Notebook Hard Drive HD2154

They're all priced about the same, give or take. Are there any specific
advantages or disadvantages to each one? The IBM drive I am using right
now (12gb) and the one before it (6.4gb) both became really noisy after a
few months. But if reliability or speed are compromised, I would choose
the noiser drive over a less reliablity or slower one.

Any input?

Thanks,
-Al
