I've received a few replies to my question about adding a USB card to my
760EL and I appreciate the time people spent trying to help out. I've got
a couple more questions though.

The PCMCIA ports work fine when there's a modem or Ethernet card in
them. It's just the USB that it doesn't like. Speaking of ThinkPad
Utilities though, is this different from the EZ Setup? I assume so. I got
my computer used and the hard drive was completely wiped so any manuals or
utilities that may have been on there are gone.

It was also suggested that I initialize the BIOS, which I've
done. According to the readme file that came with the BIOS upgrade it was
supposed to reboot itself after initialization, which it didn't do. It
just dumps me back at the config menu. Is that alright or was it not
properly initiated?

Finally, how does one change things in the ThinkPad BIOS? It tells me what
I've got and will test devices but doesn't give any option for changing
things. It's very unBIOSlike. Is that all there is to it or is there a
BIOS backdoor I don't know about?
