600E Mediamatics DVD Express -- problem on TV Out

DVD now working fine on TP600E but when output to TV (PAL) I see
vertical jitter on the TV screen and color flashes at the bottom
of the screen, neither of which appears on the simultaneous LCD
image.

What is the fix or what is the next diagnostic step?

(Should I output as S-Video or Composite? Maybe I have the
wrong output protocol.)

I have obtained from IBM/Bangkok file DVD50731.EXE which purports
to be an upgrade to DVD Express. Execution creates a directory
\DRIVERS\WIN\DVD. Is the upgrade now installed, or do I have
to run SETUP.EXE which appears in a/m sub-directory? (No
instructions came with the upgrade.)
