IBM made this one very confusing. The cable you need did NOT come in the
box with the Dock I or Dock II. What you're looking for is the item
described on one of IBM's web pages this way:
Dock 1/Dock2: If used with 760 E/ED/EL/ELD/XL/XD must use IDE Conversion
Card (Option p/n 46H5994) if IDE device is used in this Dock.
The IDE Conversion Card is labeled on the box something like "IDE Adaptation
Cable" (it's a card with a cable attached). The key to finding it is the
part number: it was definitely listed as 46H5994 and 39H7432, but it also
seems to have been available with part number 46H6004.
They're often available on eBay (search for all the part number in the
descriptions), but I found a page where someone claims to have a few hundred
in stock at about $17 each:
http://www.codemicro.com/cat2/content354.html
The page says it was updated in the year "19101" which I guess is 2001 in
the mind of anyone who never heard of the Y2K problem.
Hope this helps out!
