ANTI-VIRUS
NAV is pre-loaded and offers to subscribe me to update service.
What is cost and how does this compare in value and effectivness
with alternatives (and which)? Comments invited.

COMING CRASH
Against the inevitable crash IBM has enclosed a recovery disk.
However I have repartitioned the 10 gb drive leaving only 1.5 gb
for the original Win98 OS and programs (since I never expect to
use for anything except DVD). Remaining 8.5 gb has been set up
as Primary for OS/2+DOS+Win3.1 and numerous Fat16 logical partitions
(so visible also to Win98).

Boot Magic selects the desired primary partition (Win98 or OS/2) at
boot time.

Question: Will the recovery disk install only to the active primary
partition as defined by Boot Magic's default setting, or will it
wipe out the entire boot record and rewrite the entire 10 gb, thus
wiping out days of work setting up my dream machine? If so, what
is the workaround to recover only the Win98 code only to the 1.5 gb
primary partition, leaving all my other partitions in peace?
