I have a 770E with the Win95 it came with still on it. I also have a
spare drive which until recently was a copy of the main that I refreshed
on occasion. I used it in place of the CDROM in the second hard drive
adaptor, and had no trouble having both active at once.
On a lark I formatted the second drive and installed Win2K to test
something, and today I find that with Win2K on the drive the 770 will
not use both hard drives at the same time, the one in the ultra bay is
just always inactive. I could boot from either one in the primary drive
bay though.
I reformatted again and put back the Win95 and now all is back to
normal, but why?
