To be fair to IBM, I've noticed transfer rates from the fantastic (200K/s)
to the ridiculous (.5K/s). When finding horrid speeds I've never
investigated things however, to see if perhaps something just ahead
of IBM might not be the cause. A traceroute would be an excellent
thing to do when seeing slow transfer speeds, and might reveal a
surprise or two.
