On a similar note, does it hurt to leave the thinkpad plugged in all the
time? Nothing in the documentation says anything about battery care as far
as I remember.

Bruce, do you think a charge from 80% to full counts as a cycle?

I notice that I can unplug for a few minutes (to 95%) and the battery will
not start to charge when I plug it in. Surely IBM did this to avoid too
many short charges?
