My X20 was "in the shop" lately, for IBM to replace the cable connecting
the LCD display to the graphics card. They updated the BIOS as well, but
that's all they did (or all they admit to). Since I got it back, though,
I've been suffering a minor annoyance. Every time W2K boots, the new
hardware wizard pops up, claiming that it's detected new hardware, that the
item is "Unknown", and inviting me to install drivers for it. I've had no
problems just cancelling this dialog, but I'd rather get rid of it altogether.
Anyone got any ideas as to how to track down the source of this problem?
