"How do I install WIN98SE to my
hard drive without an external
cd-rom drive? Am I dreaming? Do
I need to have a selectadock or
external cd-rom to do this?

Oh, I failed to mention I have a
TP 760XL, I do have a 20xCDrom
drive that I swap with my floppy..."

OK, I assume you mean that your TP has a working floppy drive, a working CD
drive, and a blank HD,
but you can't access the floppy and the CD at the same time. The steps you
want to follow are:
(1) Get a DOS floppy bootdisk with CD drivers; one source is
www.bootdisk.com
(2) Use this disk to install DOS on your HD.
(3) Swap in the CD drive, and get the CD drivers on the HD DOS install to
recognize the CD (just as you would on a desktop)
(4) Install 98SE from your CD (better: copy the appropriate files to a
subdirectory on your HD, and install from there - faster,
and then the CABs are always available) (even better: install using the
freeware 98Lite, www.98lite.net)

Good luck.
