Thanks to all who replied to my earlier plea.

Finally the 40 gig WD drive has NT on it. (Also MS DOS 6.22
and WFWG.) Already I miss Warp 4.

Some obversations:

- boot from the install CD as someone recommended;

-burn your WD EZ Bios & Install disk and never never use it to
format your disk's first 4 partitions. It will butcher
them (at least it did mine).

IF Fdisk won't get you going to NT's satisfaction, Partition
Magic will.

Don't be so stupid as to think Micky will let you use Netscape 6
to download IE5.5 and Outlook Express.

Don't be so stupid as to think that the version of IE that is
bundled with NT4.0 will download IE5.5. (It won't work with
almost any www site.)

Just buy the da*n CD! (On 2nd thought, maybe Opera will do
the job...)

Don't believe it when Micky says Service Pack 6a will improve
performance. It will bloat your system and make it run like
a sick pig. For good measure it also broke my DUN to Netcom.

Now to load Red Hat linux...

More later.
