have you ever thought this might be simply the inefficiency's of the fat16
or fat32 filesystems? and the fact that it has probably never, ever been
defragged or items removed from system tray startup?
netscape takes about twice the time to start on my p133/40 over my athlon
550/320. try optimizing it. or using a less wasteful operating
systems. pentiums really do perform just fine for most tasks.
