boot 730T/TE from scsi hard drive?

Has anyone successfully booted a 730T or 730TE from a scsi hard drive? Tried
and failed? I'd like to install one in my truck to be a permanent GPS thingy
and to just scsi it would be cheaper and easier to replace once the car had
cooked it to death.
