Ok, here's a fun one. :)
I recently got a good deal on a 560X, model
2640-60U, which is the 200MMX model with the
HPA/DSTN screen. It's a great notebook, except
the screen is a little crummy.
I see that other models of the 560X have a TFT
screen, and I'd really like to upgrade. I found a
place online that sells complete kits of parts for
the TFT screen.
Problem is, there seems to be a correlation
between the 200Mhz system board and the HPA
screen, and the 233Mhz system board and the TFT
screen. Almost every single 560X model has either
200Mhz+HPA or 233Mhz+TFT.
Except the 2640-65J, which is a Japanese
200Mhz model with a TFT screen. So this gives me
hope. :)
Does anyone know, or know how to find out, if my
12J1693 200Mhz system board would be compatible
with the 12J1704 TFT screen?
I guess the best way to find out would be to
get a complete parts list for the 2640-65J...
But I'm not sure how to do that.
