Certain models, with very specific configurations, are available in
the US (at least) with Caldera. Personally, I'd like to see RedHat or
Mandrake, but I understand the use of Caldera.

IBM is now 100% behind Linux. Its slowly filtering down to the Thinkpad
and other consumer product lines.
As for the MWave, they have had a driver out for some time now.

I deal with IBM xseries servers at work alot. IBM's committment to Linux
isn't just marketing and PR hype. The new lines of Intel servers are all
designed with Linux in mind, and it shows. I can even call the regular
(ie WinNT) support lines, and they _know_what_Linux_is_. Having worked
with many server vendors over the years, its refreshing to know that I'm
not out on a limb by using Linux.
