Hi Steve,
you're right that installation is pretty critical -- but I would say that
it's a little more involved than aiming the dish --- I am pretty handy, and
considered doing my DirecPC install myself, but was HUGELY relieved that I
didn't after I saw the two guys that came here and did the job for me....
like anything else, experience matters, and their job was not easy -- if for
no other reason than having the proper tools (drills/fasteners/etc...) to do
the work. In my case , the best mounting spot was at a difficult spot on
the roof -- and it's a 10/12 pitch, 25 feet up.... not a comfortable place
to work. Also, most of the deals include free installation today -- so it's
hard to justify doing it yourself, IMO. Aiming is a bit tricky, too.
Especially without a helper. To summarize -- I'm guessing it would've taken
a full day for me to get the job done right myself -- and the installation
guys did it in two hours....properly ; )
