Hello all.
I have a 560e that I've been using as a wireless web browsing machine
until it started developing problems. It now will spontaneously reboot
while I'm using it. It's definitely a hardware problem, since I can
duplicate the problem even from a dos prompt. With the machine off and
the power supply attached: the charging light will be on, and I can
jiggle the power connector all i want and the light stays on, but if i
press on the machine (keyboard or just above) around the back left
corner - the light will go out and then back on if I keep moving it.
It's not completely a power issue (at least it's not a lack of power to
the machine), since it will reboot even if it's on a fully charged battery.
Has anyone seen this behavior in a 560e? I thought maybe it was a bad
power supply, but I would think that would go bad and stay that way.
Crack in the motherboard? Loose connector?
Any and all sugggestions are appreciated.
Thanks,
Joe
