I think that one of the reasons I was so surprised at the tremendous
performance improvement of the A21p over the 770ED was that it takes
just as long for my A21p to boot into Win2K as my 770ED to boot into
Win98SE, both starting up the various programs that live down in the
"tray" (Norton SystemWorks, PGP, misc ThinkPad stuff, etc.).
