Didn't know the X20 had fallen that much already, looks like I will soon
be able to afford it ;-)

Yes, there's a floppy port on the back of the 570/570E (not very
conveniently located, too close to the AC adapter cable). For some reason,
the floppy drive doesn't work when connected to my 570 (bought used on
eBay), and it doesn't work either when connected to the Ultrabase;
however, if I add the 560/570 port replicator and connect the floppy drive
to it, it will be recognized. Go figure.
That said, the floppy drive works OK when connected directly to my 570E
(bought new).
Like you, I came from the 560(X). I just love the 570, especially for the
increased resolution (XGA _is_ nicer than SVGA) and the increased RAM (320
vs. 96). On the minus side, the 570 flexes (compared to the 560).
