Try going into the BIOS and making sure it's booting to the harddrive first
and not looking for a bootable cd or floppy. I don't recall but there may
be another option in the Bios that will also give you a faster boot time, as
well.

I've got a similar machine and my boot time is not excessively long.

Subject: [OT] : Win2000 slow to boot

Hi,

Is there any way to speed up the boot process under Win2000 ?
On my A21p, it takes approx. 3 minutes, Vs. ~1,5 on a 560 running '98.
Is this normal ? What am I doing wrong here ?

Thanks

sylvestre
