that I should point out that for the price of one share of IBM stock, you can
get access to "great" prices on IBM hardware, up to and including the
TransNote. They look to be about 20% under street prices, on the average and
may be exactly equal to employee prices.
stock, saving you a broker fee. It also allows you to re-invest your
dividends into purchasing more stock, and they will purchase fractional shares
for you, so your money is always tracking the stock. Not a bad deal,
especially for a blue chip.
