Note:

IBM MUST charge sales tax on all sales since IBM has "presence" everywhere..
IBM also charges list price, less 20% plus sales tax and shipping..
i got my 770X via the influencer program and paid about $200 more than what
i would have paid street price..
(this WAS, of course, on a $5k + machine)..
this is not to say that 20% off today would not be a great deal at times,
its just not the great deal that it at first appears to be..

sometime this week, i think i'll pick up some IBM stock..
just to have a few shares.. :-)
and if i can get a transnote for $3k, less 20% (i.e. $2400 + 7%) i may just
do it, once i recover from april 15th and my amex statement..
