I dunno-- in looking at the web sites of some of the dealers who sell stuff
cheaply in pricewatch, they say the disks they sell have a three year warranty.
Given the litigious nature of people these days, I don't think it behooves a
dealer to make false statements like that. Disks blow out just often enough
that this is a real issue, so I'd think this would have come to light if
that were
true.
I wonder too, if IBM has changed any of its policies regarding warranty issues.
It's in their interest to be lenient in warranty periods, as they need all
the market
share they can get.
I think I'll give a couple of these places a ring and see what the warranty
situation
really is... If I get anything I'll report back here.
