It depends on how much stuff you have running together. If you are doing normal office stuff (a few browser windows, Word, Excel, a mail program, and a few apps running in the system tray) then more RAM won't do much for you. If you are running memory intensive stuff (like PhotoShop or other large graphics apps), or have 30 windows open at once, then you may see a benefit. Basically, if your system isn't doing much swapping to virtual memory (disk activity), then more memory is a waste.
