I installed Windows 98 on one 760EL, one 760XL,and one 765. It was
relatively simple and fool proof. I downloade the BIOS updates and
other files from the IBM matrices site. One 3 GB, one 5 GB, one 6.4 GB
hard drive.
Now each time I turn on any of the three, the computer immediately
seeks and installs another PCMCIA modem... until it runs out of Com
ports and IRQ's.
It must have been something I did rong... but what? They work fine
otherwise.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
