If you're planning to upgrade your 600E thinkpad be careful when replacing
the screws that attach the heat exchanger to the MMC card's heat sink. I
accidentally placed the longer screws that fix the MMC card to the mobo
instead of the propper shorter screws and as I was tightening them up I
pulled the heat sink (and the cpu) away from the MMC card. Which needless
to say rendered my 600Mhz celeron upgrade inoperable. *sigh*
Ah well, now I have an excuse to look at some of the 700Mhz PIII's that
people are selling these days. ;-)
