Hello All-
I have a Thinkpad 560 (264050A) that my research indicates to me has a
Trident Cyber 9385 video card with 1MB VRAM. I am new to Linux, but this
weekend I installed RedHat 7.0. However, I have been unable to successfully
configure X-Windows.
After a good deal of tinkering with the XF86Config file, X will start, but
will display a black screen with two horizontal lines. Pressing a
Function-F7 combo changes this to a completely black screen. However, the
system is unresponisive and I have to use Ctrl-Alt-Backspace to kill X and
return to a command prompt.
Does anyone out there have helpful advice, or better yet, a working config
file?
Thanks,
Ron
