Let me know how it goes. Eventually, I'll like to do the same
thing, so if you get a name or case number or something that will help me

Actually I don't think so. The left side has a much smaller
"open" area (the card slots)to be weak, and is much farther from the hinge
(which causes the problem on the right side).

At a bare minimum, make a backup. Helps if you have more than one
drive. :-)
