You didn't indicate where you were located or if you wanted a desktop vs a
laptop. Around here (the San Francisco Bay area) you can find systems using
older technology for <$500 from many of the independent computer stores, most
of which advertize in the Computer Currents or MicroTimes free magazines. If
you aren't in this area, try looking in a recent issue of Computer Shopper.
