I've had difficulties with the IR. Rempove ALL references to IR in Device
Manager. Then disable IR. Then remove the card and reboot. Check that IR
is disabled. Shut down. Insert the card and restart. Follow
instructions. Now install any IR devices.

Hi everyone.

I have two Xircom cards. The first, a RE-100, works great on my LAN and the
web. The RBE-100 however is troublesome. I can see my LAN but cannot get out
onto the web. I have checked and rechecked the protocols, properties, etc.
and everything looks good.

I am using the latest drivers and Win98SE.

If I insert the RE-100 card it is detected and works fine, LAN and web.

If I insert the RBE-100 card it is detected and works on the LAN but I
cannot get out onto the web.

All proper protocols are installed.

Is there some known issue with RBE-100 cards on Thinkpads?
