Not white there black like the standard feet only square and taller.
Though now that you mention it the harddrive does seem quiter.

Are they white? If so, they are the "landing pads" that are supposed to
quiet the hard drive whine when the machine is on a flat surface... let
me know if they work, I have some that IBM sent me but havent installed
them
