ah, this is where i'm confused...

the version i have comes with the utilities pack for
the 560e (win98). created my image, and when i saved
it, the program looked for a disk in drive a. the help
files also said to "save the image to the diskette you
have created", or something similar. after searching
the ibm site for help, i came across the
personalisation editor (stand-alone, but the same as
the utilities version)... and another file with a
similar (but definitely different) description, which
made me think that it was the mystery disk the help
file refers to.
downloaded the mystery disk, ran the app again, saved
my image to a:. no problem.
that's where the help file tells me to leave the disk
in and reboot the computer to write it to rom. it
tries to boot from a: but then gives two os/2 errors.
i hope i'm remembering this right, i don't have the
thinkpad to hand right now.
