[T21] Intermittent Barely Audible Screeching Noise

My T21 has started 'screeching' sporadically. It's very quiet, appears to be
emenating (sp?) from the PC speaker, but does not get louder if I turn up
the volume.

The problem seems worse when I am on battery power.

All drivers are completely current. I stay after them vigilantly.

Any ideas? It's a minor annoyance, but one I would still like to eradicate.
