I'm not a lawyer; is intent a part of the legal definition of larceny? They
have already stolen my good credit
standing: if I decided to apply for a loan tomorrow, I would be denied until
IBM's spurious claim is resolved.
They are stealing my time: it will take some effort to dig out these old
records, write the necessarily letter(s),
and then confirm with all the usual credit agencies that my record is indeed
cleared.
Honestly, I don't see why you want to deny me the right to be angry on this
one. IBM made a stupid mistake on
my warrantee (evidently yours too), with potentially serious ramifications
for me if I don't take rapid action.
I think this has earned me the right to call IBM a few names here and there!
