Hi,
Is anyone using a Margi Display-to-Go video adapter with their ThinkPad
together with Win2000?
I recently purchased such a card, with the purpose of running a
dual-monitor setup under Win2000. The setup mostly works as advertized,
but I can't get suspend to work on my machine (TP570E), although suspend
under W2K is supposed to be one of the new features supported by the
latest (2.07) Margi drivers
(http://www.margi.com/service/disp_drivers.html).
The README.DOC that comes with the driver does state:
"Suspend in Windows 2000 does not work on all systems. The problem occurs
not on the sleep function, but when the system tries to wake up. "
This is exactly what happens to me: both the TP570E and the external
display (ViewSonic VPA150 15" TFT) do suspend, but they won't wake up.
Actually, there is some activity when pressing Fn to wake up (the HDD
starts spinning), but both displays remain shut.
I was just wondering whether this is an inherent limitation of the 570E or
whether I'm missing something obvious.
I have the latest TP drivers (BIOS, system utilities, power management).
Thanks,
Dominique
