the A30 is the successor to the A2x Series..
someone is sending out brochures offering it at $3700..
it is a 1.2ghz, 48gig, ATI 32meg, 128meg, 2xUSB, 1xIEEE1394, more or less
dual ultrabays..
it is slightly larger than the A22p and it comes with a built in NIC..
all models come with the NIC, the top model also comes with an additional
wireless NIC..
it has 2 open PCMCIA slots and 2 x CF slots..
it will support up to 1gig of memory..

i have no idea when the official announcement will be, BUT, from all the
leaks my guess is it will be tomorrow, and if not tomorrow, then very soon..

this is (maybe, a very BIG maybe) the predessor to the A40, but if the A40
does come to pass it won't (heh, i thought the A30 was not going to appear
until Q1 02) appear until 2003..

but in this business climate, who can tell WHAT'LL happen..
and...
meanwhile, we (the USA and the rest of the sane world) ARE at war..
with a bunch of maniacal brain washed kamikazee types, so lace up your shoes
and be ready.. :-)
(sorry for this last, can't help it)

Cordially, :-)
