Help.......
I am setting up a 2654-4AU for my sister that I got off ebay. It's
beautiful, nicer than my 600. Anyway I am attempting to update the BIOS. The
current ver is INET22WW, 4/28/99. I have spsdin35.exe which gives me
INET35WW 11/20/99. Created the disk the appropriate way. Booted. Started
initiatization program. Followed propmpts. Got to "apply update" or whatever
you press to finally get the BIOS installed, and the system hung.
At this point I thought I was screwed. Screen said "Please wait while the
update is applied" or whatever. I waited 15 minutes. Didn't take more than
2-3 on the last 600E I set up for my Dad.
With no other option, I rebooted. Miraculously, the system is fine, but the
old BIOS is still there.
What am I doing wrong? Should I just leave it be? The system is running
perfectly.
Thanks for your help,
-kj-
