Dan,

I too acquired one of these many months ago. Although I didn't get around to getting it going (needs and demands changed, but still
plan to get it set up one day)

Anyway, there seems it was an issue about some Windows driver not being installed by default, which is required to run this setup.
I'll take a look through my notes and see if I can come up with my findings.

Dave

Subject: Need Help with Select-A-Dock 3

I just purchased a Select-A-Dock 3 on eBay for use with my TP 770Z. The
package arrived in excellent condition--with the IBM sealing tape
intact--and the unit looks to be in pristine condition (since it had
been unopened, all of the tape was on all of the removable parts).

The Select-A-Dock requires a port replicator as a hardware interface
between the docking station and the ThinkPad.

The problem I'm having is that when the entire assembly is powered on,
the Select-A-Dock flashes the warning indicator and a constant tone
emitted the instant the TP is powered on (that is, before the OS even
boots). The TP works fine stand alone and when attached to the port
replicator. The problem occurs when the port replicator is attached to
the docking station.

Can anyone offer any assistance?

Thanks in advance.
