I used the "Backpack is my version of a purse" argument with some
dorks at America West.
They were the only ones that ever made an issue of it (I carried
it on every flight I took for years--on many different airlines. Nobody
said "boo" about it until America West.
I don't fly America West anymore. They're on my crap list. #1.
