By any chance have you upgraded the EL to a larger
hard drive and more memory?
I have a 24X CDRom drive that used to work but I
recently installed a larger 4.3Gb hard drive in place
of the old 2Gb drive and added another 32Mb SODIMM to
make a total of 104Mb of ram. Now it won't boot from
the hard drive unless I put the old 4X CDRom drive
back in!
