Having not seen the inside of this ThinkPad, I can't see how the
connectors slip out exactly, but I have fixed this kind of problem
in radios fairly frequently, by reseating the connector snugly, and
then looking for a place where the connector and part of the PC
board or other side of the connector met, and applying a SMALL
dab of epoxy glue there as a "lock".

If you use a SMALL amount, you can chip it off if you need to, but
it is often enough to stop the connector from slipping out.
