Do you get any joy from the power utilities? What about the battery
charge cycle option?

Does the machine otherwise run OK?

Are there any issues with battery types fixed in later BIOS
versions? I've got the latest in my CX but it still hates
it if you swap from NiMH to LiION.

Subject: 755CX battery problem

I am restoring a 755CX (P75)
The battery is good, but is not recognized by the machine at all - I tried
several 760 Li known good batterys, again no joy. Won't charge or run the
machine.
I suspect a BIOS upgrade might help, but of course I can't upgrade the BIOS
without the system seeing a charged battery!
Anyone got any ideas?
