Hello ThinkPad Users,

When my 25Gig HD in my 770ED went belly-up, taking my Win98SE install
with it, I decided that it was a good time to install Win2K Pro onto
this system (since I've had such good luck with it on my A21p).

I got out my original 8Gig HD, wiped everything out that was there,
and did a fresh install of Win2K. While waiting for my 25Gig to be
replaced under warranty (which happened this week), I have been
installing and configuring the Win2K Pro system on the 8Gig.

Now that the 25Gig replacement is here, I would like to move my Win2K
work onto the larger drive. However, this does not seem to be a simple
task. I tried using PowerQuest Partition Magic 6 to copy the partition
from the 8 to the 25. However, when I try booting from the 25, I get
an error from Windows and it refuses to boot.

- From the above paragraph, you can tell that I can have both drives
installed onto the same system at the same time (docking station IDE
bay). Also, that I have fairly current Partition Magic. I also have
Boot Magic (that came with it) and Drive Image. I have used all of
these extensively. I also seem to have Norton Ghost 2001, which must
be part of the Norton Systemworks I bought, though I have never used
it.

Is this possible, or am I doomed to more frustration than if I went
through the whole install and configure process again with the
replacement drive?

Thanks!

Ron.
