Hi,

I recently bought a used 600E, in good condition, except for a few
grubby marks on the lid that aren't shifted by the usual 50% alcohol/
50% water solution (I get the feeling someone cleaned it incorrectly,
leaving permanent marks).

I know of a few plastic cleaners, such as "Plexus", and the usual
automotive plastic cleaners/protectors, but I am hesitant to use them,
especially since the 600E lid is a "rubbery" plastic, and I've had bad
experiences trying to clean this type of surface. Has anyone tried
this? Are there any alternatives?

Also, is it economically viable to replace the lid? Or is it moulded
into one integral piece?

Thanks,

Joe.

PS: An off-topic question... how long should I wait for an answer from
someone on ebay before canceling the transaction? I won an auction, and
have not heard from the seller yet. 48 hours have passed since the
auction ended. I sent him an email, but no response. This makes me
worry about his reliability. Should I give him the benefit of the
doubt, or get out now?
