Have you tried "Goo Gone" yet? Doesn't harm the plastic/rubber coatings, and
cuts through grease really well. After using goo gone, use a damp lint-free
towel moistened with plain old water to give a final rub and buff. Never use
cleaning chemicals with harsh additives, these laptop covers aren't made of
cast iron, and some products will "etch" the surface or worse.
This method worked on my 600's, and the orange aroma wasn't bad either. My
briefcase normally smells like pipe tobacco.
