I want to increase the memory in my Thinkpad 760EL.
Currently it has 32 MB of RAM - a stick or 16MB and 16MB of onboard RAM.
I propose to discard the 16MB stick, and install two 32MB sticks.

When I go to the Crucial site to order the RAM for this model,
<http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.asp?model=ThinkPad+760EL&x=11&y=10>
the site says:

        In order to upgrade you must have the IBM SODIMM carrier for
        this computer either p/n 35H1072 or 91G1092.

I assume that the carrier is the small board with two sockets for RAM.
The small board on my unit has the following numbers:
FRU 39H6229
P/N 36H1412
EC D66761
** 98S 110 36H1413 01 (** are symbols of some sort)
(and on the back)
420 36H1413 01
IMJYAH75485 36H1392 601598

None of these numbers match the numbers specified by Crucial above.
Will the new RAM still work with my 760EL?
Any help will be appreciated.
