My APM is messed up. Battery doesn't get monitored now. Ideas?

I think this is all a software problem, but I'm not sure how to deal with
it. I've tried the uninstall/reinstall route. I'm using Win98SE. Can
anyone else using that OS send me the related registry keys so I can compare
them with my own?
