Thanks for the note. One additional issue: in this particular unit the
connected printer loses bidirectional functionality. It's documented
somewhere, and I remember because my printer was a Okidata 6e printer
that had custom drivers which enabled 2-up and 4-up printing. These
required bidirectional control, and when I used the print server I had
to downgrade to a generic Laserjet 4 driver and lost the special
Okidata-only features.

I now have a Laserjet 5MP which is directly connected to both machines
(Mac and PC) on my network so I don't need or use the print server. 2-up
and 4-up printing is built right into the Postscript drivers - hooray!

FWIW, used HP print servers abound on eBay for $30 or so, so it's not a
total loss if your router doesn't have a print server.
