probably more static load on a finger for a trackpoint user, IF that user
does not have good technique and/or appropriate mouse settings..
the difficulty i found with touchpads is that they required finer movement
of the finger to accurately place the cursor on the desired point of the
display..
to accomplish this, rolling of the finger was required (for me) and i found
this to be less thancomfo4rtable as i had to roll my entire hand.. (think
carpel tunnel maybe? or some other malady associated with less than normal
wrist/lower arm/etc. uses??)
a touch pad would probably be better if it were larger and came with a
pointer..

in the end, it is all user technique, i think.. :-)

for me, i have three IBM black mini trackpoint keyboards for my three boxes
here in addition to my A21p and the (soon to arrive this morning A30p, my
240 and the T21..

from the pictures i have seen, the A30p has a similar mouse button
arrangement to these keyboards, and i must add that i like the mounse
buttons in a row rather than like the A21p with the big button under the two
normal buttons..

(no editing, jyst typed and mailed! :-) )

Cordially, :-)
